La de dah!

So I have to turn this blog into a class assignment. Don't worry it's a cool assignment. I've been taking a Teachings of the Living Prophets class and have learned TONS! The project I'm working on is gathering quotes from all the current apostles and our beloved Prophet, on certain topics given to us in class and other topics we chose for ourselves.
I hope you guys will like it. It might take me awhile to get this up and going and looking nice. I have to say that blogging is still an odd thing for me and will have to learn the basics all over again.
Woot woot!
Well as I have the last few posts I'm going to put a random picture on here.

That is all

Hmmmm....

So I've been trying to figure out this whole blog thing and why it is I still have it. I have come to the conclusion that it's because I have no good reason to get rid of it. There you have it.
I am currently groggy from a nap too long and from the six days a week of working in the morning and most nights. I'm not complaining, I love my job, it's just wearing me out a bit with certain hours. What scares me some is that I start school in a month.........I had to plan my classes around my work schedule so things will be interesting. The nice thing is, I'm graduating! YAY! Well after this semester I will and it's only temporary. My goal is to become a CNA over the summer and work as much as I can, then reapply and try for the nursing program which is INCREDIBLY difficult to get into, so here's crossed fingers to inspiration helping along the way.
I will now post a random picture hopefully for the enjoyment of others.

Wow, it's been a long time hasn't it!
Now I'm at the start of my third year in college and life couldn't be any better!
I am married and living in Rexburg where it's cold and snowing, but we're having so much fun!!!
A requirement of my father when I got married is that we had to take my dog Shenaue with us, so it was a little stressful finding a house that allowed dogs but we found one. We're renting a nice little house with a large back yard that we and Shenaue love to play in and our ward is awesome.
Well, I know this is a short post, but I has lots and lots of homework to do for tomorrow.

Hope this finds whoever is reading is safe and happy!

As Deanna would say: "Night Ya'll!!"

Holy Crap It's July!

Well I've almost made it. I've almost made it to the end of my first year in college......I feel like....old.
This semester have been full of fun, spiritually greateness, and even more great things. I really ought to make a book. I made it down last wednesday night because I figured I'd only be missing two classes, one each on Thursday and Friday, and then I'd have more time to be home. But alas, the friend I was looking forward to spending another 4th of July with went to California. Good news is, my other best friend is down till Tuesday and I got to hang out with her. Haven't seen that Kim monster friend since May. Man we had some fun for those few hours.
Julie you missed out, but I guess you're having your own wild party in California.
Did any of you see that amazing Sunset last night! Can you say sky on fire??
I would have to say that I enjoyed that more than I did the stadium's firworks. (Those were realy lame by the way, I'm writing a complaint ;))
And today topped it all off. I went to the singles ward that I'll be in when I get home, and I had a great time. I got to see a bunch of old faces, had some great lessons about the book of Psalm and visiting teaching, and then we all went to (I think) the Bishops house and had some great food where we all sat and talked some more. I think the better of the day was seeing old classmates: Brianna, Brian, Garrett, Logan, Matt, Lance, Taylor and a bunch of others.
I have to say I'm way excited to be done with my semester and be back home. I'm quite looking forward to it. But the one thing I'm hoping to do before it gets cold again, that I was introduced to last year, is hiking Maple Mountain. Such an amazing hike. And I've been working out so I won't be the one in the very back this time, I absolutely refuse. Heck I'll even race Logan up the mountain.......kidding...that boys a mountain goat and I'd lose shamefully.
But yeah, home is going to be a wonderful thing when I get back, and not only am I going to work, but I'm going to party like a Gator in the Bayou. Yehaaw! (Did I mention like a redneck?)
Good luck to all of you who are leavin on a mission that I didn't get to say bye to in person. You'll all do great, just don't lose focus on what's important.

Anywho,
Till the next time I remember I have a blog

Boredom makes you do funny things

So I have about an hour before I have to get to my first class. So I figured I'd show you guys some cool stuff we've been working on in my creative writing class. It's called: De-familiarization. Where you take a subject and write somthing that makes people look at it differently.....I think..anyways we were given two subjects to try it on. Potatoes and.....you try and figure out what the last one is.
Here are my tries at them, tell me what you think.

Potato
The clump of starch sat on it's own.
Surrounded by darkness, the unkown depth daunting
Wishing for freedom from the cold endless abyss,
It continued to sit, forgotten, unthought of uncared for.

.............. (figure it out)
A thrilling happiness, a rude awakening.
Can make people drunk without intoxictaion or that burning hangover
The deepest hurt when broken and smashed
Many people wish and beg for it to come, some curse it.
Sometimes the only power that holds people together.
The greatest gift god himself can give

A new path to follow

This morning I finally had an answer among many questions as to what my future holds. For those who I haven't talked to in a long while, I have been pondering whether or not I should go on a mission. I don't know why, but about four months ago I had a notion that I should at least look into it and see what could possibly be in store for me.I've questioned, prayed, studied my scriptures, and asked advice, but have not had any kind of whisper or notion as to what I should do until this morning. As of these last couple of weeks as the new semester has started and I had trouble with my schedule and getting it fixed, the thought fell away. Because I had a few hours to relax this morning, I randomly decided I was going to look over my Patriarchal blessing for a moral boost to get me through these next few months. As I was reading through it, I had the question in mind as to what it is that I should ponder a little more so I can understand what it was the lord was saying about certain things; when I came upon a few lines that made my heart burn. I couldn't believe it. There was my answer. Those few simple lines that finally made sense. I teared up and knew that the wonderful feeling was what they say is the "burning of the bosom". And to top it all off, all the subjects in church today were about recieving answers, and stories of apostles and what they did to prepare themselves for their missions and what they do to better understand the promptings of the spirit.
I finally have my answer, and I have made the decision that I'm going to prepare for a mission. I know I have some years to go before I am able, but I now have a definate object to focus on and work towards. Yes I am in college and that's what I "should" be focusing on, but I don't know what it is that I want to do for my major and have been sitting her twiddling my thumbs about it. I'm praying by the start of next year, I'll have a definate answer.
We'll just have to wait and see what the future holds.

:'(

So today is my last day in Utah for this break. I'm a bit sad to leave the beautiful weather and my best friend Julie, but hey, I'll be back soon enough.
Who knew that being between semesters could be so stressful! Geesh!
Heck, I think I've been stressed more about going back to Idaho weather than anything else! It had better be in the 60's or I'm suing the weather man.
To all of those I didn't get to see while I was down, sorry. Hope life is good.
And you missionaries that will be leaving soon, you had better give me an address so I can write you all. I still need to track down a few addresses for those who are already gone, so if anyone has those, feel free to let me know eh?
WELL.....off to Idaho....another semester of BYUI here I come.
